Twenty five children were lucky to escape unharmed today after a school bus collided head on with a vehicle on inland from the Gold Coast.
At around 8:30am on Mount Lindsay Highway near Beaudesert, police say the two vehicles collided, leaving a woman, 31, trapped in the car.

Firefighters used hydraulic equipment to cut her out of the vehicle before she was airlifted to hospital and police say her injuries are not considered life-threatening.

The two children in the car were taken to Beaudesert Hospital as a precaution however, all 23 children on board the bus are said to be uninjured.
