Aircraft manufacture
Over and above aviation claims against airlines, injured passengers and dependants of deceased family members have rights to pursue aircraft manufacturers in appropriate cases.
The benefit to aviation claimants in this type of claim is that the damages often exceed the amount payable by an airline carrier. Injured QF72 and Air France passengers therefore have additional compensation rights against the manufacturer of the accident aircraft, Airbus or the component supplier.
